Perfect Gift!
A keepsake of your visit to The Upper Room Chapel, Museum and Garden in Nashville, Tennessee, this video features unique views presented as a reflective meditation of the Christian art within the chapel, museum and the garden.
Fifteen minutes of soft instrumental music, scenes and narration describing the symbolism found in The Upper Room Chapel and the Agape Garden (with full scripture references) will inspire consideration of Pentecost, Jesus' ministry and heroes of faith. The remaining minutes of the video show more scenes from The Upper Room set to music.
The focal point of The Upper Room Chapel, which is visited by more than 25,000 guests each year, is a woodcarving (sculpted by Ernest Pellegrini) of Leonardo da Vinci's painting The Last Supper. The pulpit in the chapel, with its winding stair and canopy, was contructed with features of several significant pulpits from around the world.
Guests also explore The Upper Room Museum, whose permanent collection reflects the international, interracial, and interdenominational nature of The Upper Room.
In December and January, the museum exhibits its collection of nativity scenes, with more than 100 renditions from cultures around the world. From Ash Wednesday through April, guests can view a special collection of more than 70 Ukrainian eggs. Hand-designed by Cheryl Christensen, the eggs tell the story of Easter and celebrate the beauty of spring using Christian symbols.
Come visit! If you can't or you've toured our grounds in the past, visit through this video soundscape!
